stuff and anxiety

Even though it's summer, I'm really struggling with calming down and feeling relaxed. There's still so many things that need to get done in the next while, and contrary to those things people say about women being good multi-taskers, I'm just not one of those women. I've been clenching my jaw a lot lately too, which is making one side of my face hurt.

But it will be OK! Things will work out. In good news, I got to vote today. Even though we're last in the nation, it felt great to feel like my vote was important.

As promised, here are some photos of our day at the Omaha zoo. Who can resist a peacock? Josh took this next series of 2 photos--I believe he called it "Mother and Child."

Here's the fun Bakker family. We had a great time!
Josh is trying to figure out how to hold a baby:
He liked this way better:

A sting ray swimming right over top of us:
And jellyfish are always the best:
Taeda was lots of fun--I think he enjoyed running around down hallways in circles more than the animals. So much energy!

Josh is trying to get in the kid mindset, in preparation for teaching. If you saw the back of him, you'd see his shorts hanging off his butt, like so many of my own students always did.

ha ha ha. Joshy is funny! I have the same lack of multi-tasking skills/clenching jaw problem. Could moving have to do with it? (Well, the jaw clenching, at least. I don't think there's much hope for the multi-tasking.)
