people coming, people going

Hi! We're in the middle of another thunderstorm--lots of rain and wind. Again. But I'm not complaining because a) I love rain, and b) we're not flooded like a lot of poor souls in Iowa and beyond. Josh just called and said he'll be home in an hour. I hope his drive isn't too bad--a lot of the IA/SD county roads can be treacherous in the rain...

Still working on feeling calm and less anxious. There are so many changes happening this summer. All of my siblings are either moving or getting married at some point this summer (or both), including us. Little brother is getting married next week! And the Bakkers are moving SOON. It feels like it's all too much to take in at once.

Right now I'm working on my last paper--an incomplete from the semester before getting married. It's kind of weird to revisit a text and topic 1 1/2 years later. And tomorrow I have my first meeting with my committee over my first reading list for my exams. Nervous!!!!

Anyway, my mind is all over the place lately.
