Here is Winnipeg in all its glory. A cold walk along the river on a Saturday afternoon:We got back from Winnipeg on Sunday night. Funerals are never fun, especially when little kids are left behind. But it was good to see the whole family--all my siblings made it out and we haven't been all together since the summer. It was a short weekend though, not really enough time to pack everything in, especially when several of us were sick with colds.
I guess I passed my cold on to Josh, because Monday morning he woke up with a sore throat. I felt really guilty. I was finally feeling better on Monday because after a weekend of little sleep, I slept like a ton of bricks on Sunday night (finally!). So Monday night I made lentil stew, and then we both climbed into bed right after supper to keep warm (for some reason we were putting off using the furnace as long as possible).
Josh also took some of my cough syrup Monday night, and he fell asleep almost immediately. He also started snoring like a hibernating bear immediately. And he snored all night long. Part of me was really happy to hear him snoring because I knew that meant he was sleeping well and maybe he would feel better on Tuesday. But part of me wasn't happy because I'm a light sleeper and so I didn't sleep barely a wink all night!
This morning (Tuesday), Josh was feeling much better. But I am feeling worse again--my sore throat is back and I'm very tired.
I guess tonight it's my turn to take the cough syrup and snore like there's no tomorrow. But first I have to make some supper (salmon, bread, salad), and then go to night class.
I'll leave with a picture of a happy couple. Aren't they cute?

soooo cute! You should have taken some cough syrup, too!
they are indeed.
I was just walking along the river at that exact spot a few weeks ago when I was in Winnipeg visiting my sister. Crazy!
