I guess the way to tell that school is back in is through my diminished posting. I can only manage random things:

  • there was an incident and now my hair is black. Oops.
  • the weather keeps changing from summer to fall and back again.
  • we killed all the crickets.
  • I really want to see "Eastern Promises."
  • lately, it is necessary to be aware of falling walnuts. They fall randomly and could potentially be painful should they hit one's head. On a windy day like today, especially--I counted 12 walnuts fall almost on my head while walking to class.
  • why do girls who have really blond hair wear extremely dark eyeliner all around their eyes so it looks like they have two holes in their head?
  • why is this list taking me forever to write and so boring?
  • because nothing is really happening right now?

Here is a picture of Josh. Give him avocado skin halves, and he turns into an alien. Forever young.

Little known fact: grey alien wrap around eyes are really tinted discs to keep light from shining in their sensitive eyes. I believe the grey skin is also a suit.

I didn't know those were walnuts until today. You think people would be harvesting that crap...at least the CPJ kids.

Hi Sarah!
It's been a while, so I thought I'd drop by and say hello. I will be leaving Moldova in 7 weeks. I can't believe it, but it's true!!

There are walnuts falling all over the place here in Moldova, too. In fact, they kept me awake last night, because they were falling on a tin roof outside my window. Crazy walnuts!! Guess some nuisances are worldwide! :)

I used to be fascinated by crickets as a little kid (when I wasn't feeding them to larger animals that were more fascinating like frogs and lizards). The sad thing was, sometimes, I would find a cricket, catch it, put it in one of my mom's ever-diminishing tupperware containers, and name it. Then, I would find a frog or lizard that was even cooler, and suddenly the cricket went from "cute ol' Hopper the Cricket" to "Lizzy the Lizzard's lunch". HA! What a fickle kid I was. :)

Well, this is a very long comment, but I hope you are doing well, and would love to hear from you if you get a chance.
Take care my friend,
Anna
