Although I didn't sleep well last night, I did manage to dream that the French Revolution was happening all over again, only this time in Canada. We were living in BC, and we got word that the Quebecois were getting set to rage westward across Canada. My parents thought they would be safest if they went into hiding on their own (were we a really bourgeois family?), and then I was in charge of gathering my siblings together and getting to safety. I think the plan was to drive down the west coast, all the way to Mexico. I remember spending a lot of time in a 6-storey parking garage.
Strange.

In the ever-popular topic of weather, I guess the spring-like air last week was just a big tease. We got dumped on this weekend. When we woke up Sunday morning, our parking lot was a mess! We weren't going anywhere that day. There was even a car stuck in the middle of the parking lot--I guess it tried to drive in late the night before and didn't have snowplow capabilities, so the driver just gave up.
Apparently more snow is expected tomorrow, and again on Thursday. I'm not sure I can take it too much longer.

But I did receive a bright package in the mail today. Socks, knitted by my mom! Thanks, Mom!
(hmm, this view makes my legs look funny)

ooooh, nice, very nice. snow is fun, and the more, the better. we haven't had snow like that for almost a month!
why would you get stuck? it's only snow. i mean, can't you drive on that? fresh powder is easy to manage, right? maybe the midwest flakes are different than the ones up here.
funny. we're studying the french revolution in hum right now. Did it have anything to do with Marie Antoinette?
Wow that's a lot of snow!
Iowa is going well. I like living in a house and not in the dorms anymore. I miss Michelle- I haven't seen her since November. Its cool to know she's in your class.
GREAT SOCKS!!! I LOVE THE SOCKS!!! Audrey, do you do mail orders to BC??
Who says your dream couldn't come true...?
