one month/can anyone diagnose me?

It's our one-month anniversary today. I can't believe how quickly the month has gone, and yet, so much has happened. Marriage has been really great so far. I definitely recommend it.

Anyway, we're not celebrating tonight. In fact, I haven't seen Josh since 6:30 this morning, and he won't be home until 11:00 because he has orchestra practice tonight. As for me, I feel horrible today--I don't know what's wrong with me. It started coming a bit on Saturday night, then got worse on Sunday, then today it kept getting worse and worse. The symptoms:

--sore throat when I swallow
--headache on the right side of my head
--very painful right ear, especially when I swallow
--sore at the back of the right side of my mouth, near my back molars
--can't open my mouth very wide
--when I move my lower jaw around, I feel a popping sensation

Even though one of my students told me I should get tested for mono, I'm trying to self-diagnose, and so far I've come up with three possibilities:

--just a sore throat/cold
--my wisdom tooth is infecting my whole head
--I have TMJ syndrome?
--or maybe a combination of 2, or all 3?

Does anyone know anything about TMJ syndrome? Why does it hurt to open my mouth?

* * * * *

Enough of that. It seems fitting to post some weding photos today. These are only the candid shots. Our formal shots are still coming. I've sorted through all of the photos and tried to cut down the number (from more than 300 down to 80).

Here are a few to whet your appetite...

I love this photo of Margo and Melanie...

The rest are in an online album which you can access by clicking HERE.

Loving the return of the wedding photos! (Oh, and perhaps you have a peritonsillar abcess? I'm sorry you're not feeling well!)

Maybe you should go to the doctor!

I am a mom - I vote for go to the doctor. Perhaps it is strep throat and you need antibiotics. But then I always think of this because it seems I had this in college and did not treat it - seemed to get well but it ruined, over time, a couple heart valves. How did I know a sore throat could do such a thing. Of course I always recommend asking for a swab. Hope you feel better sooner. Looks like you had a lovely wedding. I also like the picture of Melanie and Margo. It could be entered in a photo contest.

PS I visit your blog from Melanie's link. I'm Aimee and Cara (used to be Klassens) mom.
