My name is Sarah. I want snow. So many people have snow, and lots of it. I live in South Dakota and we don't have any snow. Snow snow snow. Snow snow snow. It's all I can think about. Please give me some snow! Snow? Snow!

It's Sunday morning (no snow on the ground) and cold here (4 degrees Farenheit). For breakfast I ate a piece of toast with almond butter. Hmm, and do you think I selected peaches, blueberries, blackberries, or cherries to add to a yogurt smoothie? I want you to imagine your own fresh selection for yourself, but I had peaches. Brrr! The smoothie was cold because the peaches were frozen (like snow is), but the fresh coffee kept me warm (thanks to a knife and some water, I could still make fresh ground coffee after cleaning out the clogged-up grinder).

Besides pining for snow, I have to start working on what is sure to be a long academic week. The usual routine stays intact; but by the middle of next week I will have written two 20-page papers. I will get "A"s on them, of course, but these things don't write themselves. In an ideal world, I could derive some motivation from gazing out the window at a fresh layer of snow on the ground, but my professors will not see the lack of snow as an excuse for sub-Sarah work.

Margaret, I miss you. If you can send some snow this way, feel free. John, try to blow the Virginia clouds this way (when they get here the temperature will turn the raindrops into snowflakes). Daniel, are you as bummed about not having snow as I am? Mom? Dad? Snow would make the stylish decorations you just put up look really great, don't you think?
I can't get Josh to move from the window. He has his nose pressed up against the window just looking out at the sky whispering "Snow . . . snow . . . snow."

It will happen, I know it will.

[this is the real Sarah] Help!! Josh attacked my computer and took over my blog while I was in the shower! He really wants it to snow. Can you tell?

i KNEW there was something wrong. halfway into the second paragraph i thought "strange. she sounds either very stressed out, or infinitely happy and thus completely oblivious to... hmmmm. this is a new sarah...".

we have snow. and lots of it. some parts of alaska got snow one day before i got here. not anchorage. i think the first snow day was October 21 or so.

Hahahahaha, that was funny. I, too, suspected something was up.

We, too, have snow, and we're in BC for heaven's sake!!

I love you. Miss you, 23 more sleeps.

I'm trying to make our dot in B.C. overpower all the other dots. Pretty soon North America will be one big dot. Congratulations on being so popliar!

Josh, you are silly. I miss you, too. (Am I talking to Sarah or Josh?)

Haha! That was a great blog entry! I thought Sarah was sounding pretty cocky though:) Well, at least you have the chance of snow. I'm headed to Zimbabwe for a month where there will definitely not be snow, since it will be around 100 degrees. But when I return to Moldova in mid-January, I'm pretty confident I will be returning to a winter wonderland. You guys can come visit if you still haven't had any snow by then. :-) Keep the blog posts coming!

I also pine for snow. At the risk of sounding stupid - I thought that was Sarah. It was well written and long (good job Josh). Although Sarah would not be so proud (she should be)

Can't wait to see y'all at Christmas

Daniel? Daniel? Is that my long lost brother?

Yep it is I. I have precisely chosen this moment to reveal my secret family blog reading. Consider yourself fortunate.

What's up Margo?
