crazy lady

It's the time of the semester when I turn into Crazy Lady. Everything gets turned upside down while I scramble to write two 20-page papers, take a final exam, and grade final portfolios. Things that get turned upside down:
-sleeping--random at best, usually minimal
-showering--doesn't happen
-clothing--the same jeans and sweatshirt all week long
-eating--only when I remember, and then what I feel like at the moment (ex. a pickle for breakfast)
-anxiety--overflowing and invasive

The part that is troubling me is that I seem less able to pull all-nighters. Does this mean I'm getting older? It used to be that I could stay up all night working on stuff. But these days, halfway through the night, my brain starts to get cloudy and no longer works very well. This worries me.

Anyway, I will emerge at the other side of this week a very happy person.

Here are some more photos. I can't believe I only took one while we were in Chicago a couple weeks ago! But here it is. Josh is standing in front of the first house I lived in during my time in Chicago. It still looks the same! I lived on the second floor of this row house:

Now we are back in South Dakota. For all of those who are interested, here is my apartment in Vermillion. Isn't it ugly on the outside? Yes, I know (try not to cringe, John).

But it's cosy on the inside! Here's the (messy) kitchen:

Oh, your old apartment! The memories! *sniff* How many times did we eat dinner there together, those weekly visits keeping us both sane . . . A funny thing, when I went through Chicago this summer I stopped and took a picture of my old apartment building, too. It still looks the same.

Your place looks cute. Do you have any crazy neighbors?
