It already seems so long ago that I was quivering with nervousness before my poetry reading. And for what? I got up on stage in front of all of those people, and I felt great! I've never had that feeling before! I loved the whole thing. My poetry prof said, "Terrific reading!" Thank you.
And now it's back to the daily grind. I didn't go to bed last night--up all night grading mid-term portfolios. yuck. I cannot wait to collapse into bed tonight.
So I want to post a few more photos of my summer trip. Ah, good ol' Europe photos--always a constant companion in times of procrastination. This first picture is the parliament buildings in Budapest. Aren't they beautiful? Budapest was second only in beauty to Prauge. Absolutely astounding.
So here's the night in Prague when I decided I would betray my Dutch heritage for real and I said, "Enough is enough! No more blonde!" I was also thirsty.
The castle overlooking Prague. The largest castle in the world. The most beautiful city in the world. Gorgeous. Beyond words. Beauty.

Another specimen of beauty. Our waiter in Vienna. He was from Bosnia. Isn't he lovely?

Sarah, you were never blonde. Yes, he is lovely. Why didn't you bring me one?
It's nice to know I wasn't the ONLY one awake at an ungodly hour this morning, though I did get to sleep from 4 to 7:30 at least. And I was writing a paper, not grading them, though I have portfolios to grade later this semester . . . scary, scary.
I want to go to Prague.
And Budapest.
